“Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API”

Using Windows XP on a machine with more than 1GB memory and get the error "Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API" when you try to Hibernate? Go and take a look at the Microsoft Knowledgebase Article KB909905 which provides a downloadable patch to address this issue.

This week I’ve come across two separate and newly built laptops that suffered with this issue (yes, there is still a strong market for XP – Windows Vista is still making few inroads in the SMB area in my experience…) so I thought it was worth posting this old fix.
